Wishlist Wednesday

I reeeaaallyyy want to read this book! Not just because it's JK Rowling (but mainly because of that). Additionally, it is supposed to be SO good and I remember last year around exactly this time I read A Casual Vacancy, so that means it's kind of mandatory I spend 20 bucks on this one, right? No? Oh, then I've got another reason - this book could be November read for my Uni bookclub, so that's why I have to buy it no matter what :D
But honestly, have any of you guys read it already? Better than ACV? Worse? Equal?

The Cuckoo's Calling (Cormoran Strike, #1)

What are yo' thoughts?

Hehe, have a beautiful Wednesday, my dears!

    1. Arghh! How can you even do that? :D It's JK Rowling!!! Just kidding, I do that a lot with books. Wait for them for months, then finally buy them and let them collect dust on the shelves... What can you do, really?

  2. I'm not a crime fan so I'd decided not to read it but I've now seen great reviews for it from friends who hate crime novels. So I think I'll give it a try when it comes out in paperback.

    1. Yeah, same here with ACV. I mean, most people weren't too obsessed with it, but it was absolutely not my genre and I still enjoyed it a lot. Because of the writing, mostly :)

    1. I hope so, too!! Life as a student is so bad. You have all this freedom, but no money to enjoy it ;D But I will get it as soon as I can!

  4. I read it! I didn't really enjoy The Casual Vacancy, but I did really like The Cuckoo's Calling. It probably never would have crossed my radar without knowing that it was by J K Rowling, and I don't usually go for mysteries -- but I actually thought it was quite good! I think she's planning to make this a series, and I'll definitely want to read the next one.

    1. A series??? Uh- mazing! I'm actually pretty sure I'd like the book. One, it's by JK Rowling. Two, I'm really craving a mystery right now and three, that would be my first adult series ever!!! :D

    1. Really? It was pretty big news when it came out that she had written it under a pseudonym ;) And I felt so left out, because she hadn't called me (her biggest fan) to tell me about it... :D
